Our History

In 1976, Mitchell’s Plumbing was founded by Gene and Tammy Mitchell, a determined husband-and-wife team with a worn-out 1970 service truck, a handful of tools, and a dream rooted in grit, faith, and family. They weren’t just building a business. They were laying the foundation for a legacy.

Gene worked the field day in and day out, turning wrenches and solving problems the old-school way, while Tammy managed the books, answered phones, and raised their children with strength and dedication. Together, they built Mitchell’s Plumbing from the ground up, transforming it into a trusted name in North Georgia, one honest job at a time.

It was truly a family business. By the time their son, Daniel, was 15, he was already learning the trade next to his father. He watched how hard work, integrity, and a good reputation meant everything. Daniel earned his Journeyman Plumbing License in 2001 and then his Unrestricted Master Plumbing License in 2005. Plumbing has been in his blood ever since.

In 2019, Daniel was honored to take the reins of the business his parents built with their bare hands and unwavering hearts. With renewed vision and dedication, he expanded it into what is now known as Mitchell’s Plumbing & P.O.T.S. We are proud to be a full-service operation offering residential and commercial plumbing, general contracting, custom remodels, septic systems, site work, and portable toilet rentals.

The story isn't over. It's just getting started with a new chapter as the company continues to grow and thrive across North Georgia. In 2021, Daniel’s son-in-law joined the company, bringing new energy to the next generation of Mitchell’s Plumbing.

None of this would be possible without Gene and Tammy Mitchell. Their dedication, sacrifice, and relentless work ethic are the bedrock of this company.
